Needed some time to breath and it did develop over the time that my friends let it exist uncorked and decanted. It was pretty popular.

Nice berries, smoother more mellow oak on the nose. Good structure but not overly strong with tannins for a 2000. Medium to full body. Picked because friends wanted a ready-to-drink bordeau to go with a tenderloin/lobster dinner that they were treating me with. I got the better part of this trade....until they opened up a wack of bottles more.....I guess wine is better shared anyways!

Have never had the pleasure of enjoying this estate. Is it a Bordeaux Superior? WW

Sorry, I'm not familiar with that term, but I don't think so since it was not on the label. Here is what I do know about this wine. It comes from Chateau Lascombes and it is the second wine from them (much like Carruades de Lafite is Lafite's second wine...just Chevalier de Lascombes is not as nice).

They made about 20,000 cases of their Grand Cru Class and about 5000-6000 cases of the Chevalier de Lascombes.

Hope that helps.

Ah Ha! I thot it was Domaine de Chevaliers' 2nd wine. Wasn't smart enough to think about it being Lascombes 2nd seeing as how you also put the appellation Margaux in there should have made the connection. You find a dumb Indian you really find a dumb individual. WW
