I can forgive Drew as his computer has been down for over a week. Git To IT!!!! Drink them wines EVEN 'afore their time. WW

Haven't tried anything really new lately. Over the last week or so, consumed '05 Perrin & Fils CdR Villages Vinsobres, '01 Zaccagnini Montepulciano d'Abrusso, '01 Anitinori CC Riserva, Pertinace Barbaresco Marcarini, NV Louis Valbray Saumur (from magnum), '04 Patrick Lesec CdP Chasse Temps, '01 Oscar Brillant Sancerre Les Aubiers. All very nice juice.

Ye ask, and ye shall receive. Posted on the weekend wines. In particular, pay attention to the Aussie one, which I hope helps the vicarious living!

I'd be interested in hearing more about the Saumur Hotwine.

Wonders, I didn't post an individual note on the Saumur because it was consumed in the festive environment of niece's wedding in Houston. I provided three magnums of the Valbray, of which only one was used... and that primarily for Mimosas. Only half a bottle was needed, with the other half claimed by the happy couple days later, and they reported it was still bubbly and fresh. Paid $18.99 per at Costco and bought eight bottles, so still have five in the cellar and SIL now has two in hers. A wonderful bargain at that price! I had a glass while the ladies were preparing a big luncheon the day following the wedding, and was very pleased with its character.... very much like a true Champagne. I'll buy more if given the chance. Can't beat it for large groups, especially as a mixer (the ladies wanted to use my Taittinger for that purpose, and I prevented that. The Saumur worked perfectly.)
