I have a bottle of 1972 Chateau Lafite-Rothschild. It has been stored properly by wine experts. The level in the bottle is above the shoulder. What would the approximate value be?

1972 was a horrid year in Bordeaux. The wines are long since dead. It may have limited value to a collector for the label....

Weegee, welcome to the board. The buckster tells it like it be. The bottle wouldn`t bring more than 25-30 dollars at auction. Bordeaux had 3 miserable vintages in a row 71-72-and73 and `taint one of the bottles from those beauties still alive. winoweenie
