2004 Sterling Vineyards Sauvignon Blanc

This is the plain-ol', plain-ol' SB, no single vineyard designation, sourced from several locations.... given the Napa Valley designation, but possibly containing a small amount of fruit from Mendocino and elsewhere. Yet varietally true - clear and crisp in the glass and on the nose, with bright acidity and hints of stonefruit, a touch of grapefruit, mangoes perhaps.... but NO OAK. Apparently stainless steel fermented. My kind of SB. Clean finish, no oiliness, excellent food wine. With cooked shrimp in steamed veggies and angelhair pasta with garlic bread. 13.5% alc/vol and about $10 at Costco. A "go-to" kind of SB that's far ahead of its price point peers in quality.

Yes, one of my favorites. One of my favorite restaurants has it so I have other whites at home. I usually have grilled oysters or a blackened halibut Caesar there and it is soooo good!
