2001 Vestini, Montepulciano Dâ€™Abruzzo ($7.99 Belfast Coop). Alcohol level 12%. Despite the low alcohol, this is a full bodied wine. Black cherries and blueberries on the nose and upfront. Some spice, some dirt, and some chewy tannin cross the palate. Nice finish. Nice wine. Matched well with Super Bowl Meatball Sandwiches.
