2001 Vestini, Montepulciano D’Abruzzo ($7.99 Belfast Coop). Alcohol level 12%. Despite the low alcohol, this is a full bodied wine. Black cherries and blueberries on the nose and upfront. Some spice, some dirt, and some chewy tannin cross the palate. Nice finish. Nice wine. Matched well with Super Bowl Meatball Sandwiches.

Picked up an '03 in a NH Liquor Store for a buck less. Popped it last night with good ole Meatballs and Spaghetti. It went very well, but for a buck or so more prefer the Masciarlli or the Canaletto.
