2001 Chateau Myrat Sauternes

On first open, what an intense, botrytis filled nose. Needed a larger glass to get a the smell of it. Nose of Botrytis, apricot, orange peel, some candy notes. Delicious but only a medium length finish for what initially appear to be a very large wine. Great balance with no sense of the alcohol or acidity. In the end, a bit simple but a nice effort $50 ppb
