Couldn't even remember which category to post this in..... A memory is a terrible thing to waste.

Nice color but a bit too conveniently dark golden for a young Sauternes.... looks more like a 20-yr-old. Nose of bee pollen and petrol, giving way to rotten lemon peel on the palate, fading to a mild lemon candy on the finish.
Re-cork this sucker and try again in a couple of days.

OK, most of the rotten lemon peel is gone, candy is moderated, finish has become lip-smackingly pleasant. Should have a warning label: "Caution: Open and set aside for 48 hours before consumption." 14.5% alc/vol and about $14 for a half-bottle at Costco.

I'd buy it again at the price but consult notes before serving to guests.
