Nice value wine. 84% Merlot and 16% Cabernet Sauvignon. Made somewhat in the style of McManis but a notch up. Dark cherry and berry flavors with hints of coffee and chocolate. Exhibits a seductive nose of chocolate liquid center cherries. Good structure and a lenghty finish for this drink me now wine. 13.7% Alc/vol, $9.99

Picked one up at the Dover NH Liq Store on sale for $8.99 (normally $10.99). Apparentely this is a boiler room operation located in American Canyon, Napa County. They say they blend their wines from the finest regions of CA CA land; hence the Paso Robles appellation on this one.

To add one more "Foodie nit" it says: "Bottled by" on the label, not "Produced and bottled by." This may mean that they bought the wine or must from Paso, not just the grapes.

Despite all the above, it is a hellofa nice Merlot for under $10 as Drew states. It is more Cablike than Merlotlike. We decanted it a half hour before dinner, and it might have been a little better for an hour. Still not harsh at all.

Matched it with burgers grilled over charcoal and oak chips, nuked Vidalia onions, and salad. Nice Wednesday night.
