2001 Hill Of Content Grenache/Shiraz

Had this with dinner last night, $22 in the restaurant. It’s from the Australian Premium Wine Collection folks who import many fine things. I did not know they did a G/S blend, but was well familiar with their Grenache – which has been outstanding some years.

This supplies a lovely mug of velvet. High alcohol, but good fruit and poised tannins, a heart- and body-warmer for a wintry night. Very tasty big-ast wine.
