Consumed over a fine steak at Pappas in Dallas TX. This wine is absolutely amazing right out of the bottle, but like any Bordeaux, tastes amazing with 20-30 minutes of decanting. Dark red/purple color with firm texture of silkly tannins revealing backwards fruit and spice which lingered for several minutes. An amazing wine really. Its unfair to score this wine as I already knew it was a solid 100 by Parker, although I love Pavie and would have scored it more or less above 96 points.

Think I've posted on this delicious sucker in my distant drinking past. Haven't tried one for over a year or so. If I ever get to go in the cellar agin, must rectify this. WW

I was able to have a few sips of this at a tasting and found it amazing.

Oh this wine is truly amazing. A top 3 for me. I had the 61 Cheval Blanc which ranked up there, but the Pavie I believe to be an epic wine...

Opened this last nite and can confirm that this is absolutely a KEEPER! CB took her pet scan yesterday and gets the reults from our head chemo Dr. Fri. All looks well as our head surgeon has confirmed her throat is clean as a pin. Back to the Pavie the color was brilliant ruby, no browning. Aromatics out the ear-lobe and solid velvet mouthfeel. Thot for a while I'd need the Listerine to get the finish outta' me mouth but after 5 minutes I was back to ground zero. A really Kick-Patootie bottle of juice that has enough structure to keep improving for another 6-10. WW

WW, Your notes are spot on. The wine is fantastic, tannic (slightly sweet tannins) and really concentrated. Its amazing with or without food. If you have the 2003, try them side by side...
