As advertised opened this lil' brute last nite and after a fierce tongue-wrestle was able to pin it down.As all Estephes' this is a serious bottle. As the song goes " When the Deep Purple Falls " and this hummer is opaque. Very restrained nose. Dense black fruit that has a hint of tar and flowers. Way too young but does have all the stuffin' to make a whale of a bottle. 88 to a 91 potential. 16 en premiur 91. Opened another for lunch yesterday. Slowly but surely this Bad Boy is showing its' enormous potential. The nose is still shy but starts openeing up after 1 hour. Black fruits, spices and terrior dominate whilst there be a tad of cocoa and meat in the background. Still by no means refined the entry is BIG and the center palate almost overwhelming. Then the massive fruit kicks in and all is well. Pay attention as in a nano-second in the throat the tannins kick in and shut this booger down. Definately a 91 with more potential. Next bottle will be 3-5. WW
