The last bottle of this vintage opened in celebration of my wedding anniversary. Spicy nose with beautiful, and youthful, flavors of blackberry, dark cherry and cassis. Hints of cinnamon and cocoa. Still has ample tannins on the flavorful and lengthy finish. Would not have thought this wine to be 10 years old...whished I had more. 14.1%alc/vol. Paid $13 in '98?

Happy anniversary to you & yours, Drew. I've not had the Cinq Cep, but have read a lot of nice comments on it. Here's to a good wine at a great price!

She must have the patience of a saint! Congrats there Drew-sou. Finished my last bottle of the 93 8 mos ago. With our 3 tier system seems I paid 17.50. Still a whale of a bottle. Have slightly more than a box of the 94 which is a brute in a Tu-Tu. Have fun youse two lil' love-boids. WW

I agree, good stuff, Drew.

Re, anniversary: how many years?

My wife and I celebrate 30 soon, and we are going to do it in France, from Bordeaux to Avignon, and all points in between...

Congratulations on the anniversary. Does the wife get a dinner out as part of the package?

Hey Drew, two is the right number. My first marriage was a brief one--I was in the Air Force; she was an Air Force brat; it was a mistake; mercifully, a short one. In fact, it happened in Maryland when I was at Andrews AF Base.Honeymooned at Ocean City--oysters kept that weekend afloat...

My second, as you can see, lasted, and it was no mistake at all.

My mother despised my first wife. When I called and told her Linda and I were getting a divorce she triumpfully said "See, I told you it wouldn't last ". We were 2 months shy of our 35th anniversary. CB and I have had 11 solid. Life is Good! WW

ww, Linda was my first wife's name--did you get her on the rebound?

My Linda could do away with volumes of Cabernet, and JDaniels, and Gordon's, and Thunderbird, and almost anything including upwards of 5 % alcohol by volume...
