Ferrari Carano '94 Cab/'93 Tresor

I just got finished reading an older post from winoweenie (8/12, Food/Wine Affinities) regarding the '94 Cab and the necessity of keeping my grubby little paws off the small pile in my cellar. When last sampled, it seemed to have settled down a bit. Until I read the post, I was about ready to crack another bottle and see if it was time to start drinking it with reckless abandon. Winoweenie, I was wondering if you have any further thoughts on the subject.

I'd also appreciate any insight into the state of maturity of the '93 Tresor. I only have two bottles (purchased back when I thought $42 was an exorbitant price for a bottle of wine) and I'd rather not rely on the Wine Spectator for advice when to drink it.

Hey " D ", I don`t normally give individual advice on the board but As I`m welcoming you to our board I`ll tell you IMHO, Don`t touch the Tresor for another 3-5. I`ll probably have a post somewhere down the line as I love both wines. The 94 FC is structered IMHO to go at least 15-20. A suyper bottle of juice. By-The-By......42$ is still a `lil pricy, unless you are a collector that is being previewed by the Wine Expectorant. What garbage! winoweenie

Pricy, yes, and pretty close to my upper limit. But having seen the '95 FC Cab at my local retailer at $50 a pop, etc. etc., I have developed a whole new perspective on what is exorbitant and what is merely a painful consequence of vinodependency.
