Please add your name to this thread if you are planning on being part of the Washington trip next year. I will post a "possible" itinerary on this thread in the next week.
Have about 25 wineries in mind now-- still need to get it down to 14-16.
Thanks!
Kat

I would think 8-10 wineries would be more tenable. Granted, WW can root hawg to the bar at a rate faster than Santa Claus can go down a chimney, but 3 or 4 wineries a day is about the max if you want to taste their entire line, talk a bit, look around, go to the potty ... Just my two cents worth.

Put Carole and me down.

I know we've e-mailed, but I'll say it here, too. Anne and I will be attending.

Also, just wanted to thank you again for all the leg work you are doing to help put this thing together. I know I speak for everyone when I say it's appreciated.

Last name starts with the same letter, too. What an amazing coincidence!

Bucko, thanks for the input on the number of wineries-- it is a "big" goal, but I know we can "do it!"
(I have already worked out the itinerary and the level of wineries selected is perfect in my mind.)
Prosser is a very small area and we have five wineries within a mile of each other to go to on the first day, followed by dinner at a winery.
If we decide to go ahead and make the 1 hour+ drive to Walla Walla then it would only be worth it if we get 4-5 wineries in. We would have lunch at one of them. That night we would dine at Bookwalter in Kennewick.
Last day would be relaxed with only three-four places to go followed by a BBQ. Location will be announced when we are much closer-- as things are growing here rapidly with new wineries and such, not to mention that I may even be part owner of a vineyard/winery by summer.

CCK

I plan to attend--looking forward to seeing the itinerary.

Based on our east coast foray I agree that 4-5 wineries per day is max--especially since WW starts everyone out each day with 2-3 glasses of bubbly .

If there is anything that I can do from this end please drop me a note.

Gene

Just my humble opinion, but it seems that when you try to do too much in a day you get less out of each event. It's the old quality vs. quantity scenario.

I would love to attend if it's open to all and acceptable to most.

I promise to keep my "bawdy Irish humor" to a lull so not to offend the faint of heart!

Walla Walla wineries will be the hardest to choose from, so many great places to hit! But first let me make sure that we want to travel the hour and a half to get there. (Takes me hour and ten, but who knows how ya all drive. ) I think that it is well worth the drive and I will be a DD in a seven passenger rig if need be-- I can do my drinking in the evening...

James Leigh Cellars, Reininger, Saviah, Woodward Canyon...

I would strongly recommend a visit to Walla Walla.

My personal favorites from the 50+ are:

Cougar Crest Winery
Forgeron Cellars
Reininger Winery
Rulo Winery
Spring Valley Vineyard
Tamarack Cellars

Count me in CCK, although I may have to curtail the number of winery visits if I have foot problems. I will have a rental car so can always head back to lodgings if need be.
