Hope all you preverts on the board have a marvelous 4th. Our normally gorgeous fireworks displays here in the desert have all for the most part been cancelled. Stand tall and proud both young and old. As in New York City, the firefighters here saved one of the most beautiful areas on the face of the globe from total destruction. We lost 475,000 acreas and 375 homes but they saved 7,000,000 acres and over 6000 homes. An absolutely herculaneon feat. The mobilization and cooperation was unbelievable. W was at his best. He must have personally shook every hand on the line, both firefighters and the volunteers. Almost brought tears to these squinty ole' ones of mine. Grilling some Tri-Tips and Corn-on-the Cobblestone and will find some swill from the cellar that screams "Drink Me". Lots to be thankful for here . WW

That was one "Mother of all fires" for sure. Glad to hear the thing is getting tamed.

Happy Fourth of July to one and all from the still sweltering Northeast. We are packed and ready to roll as daughter Tammy is treatening to present us with a Fourth of July granddaughter. If she holds off, will be firing up the grill for some Jordon's Natural Casing All Beef Franks. What to drink with them? Why Lot #29, of course.

My youngest nephew lives outside Durango, Co and has been ready to evacuate if need be with his guitar and his cats. Looks like they have the Durango area fire partly contained now and his abode may be spared.

If I counted my fingers correctly, this must be the Buckmeister's birthday. Happy Birthday Bucko, and have many, many more. Thanks for keeping us safe, civil, and spam free for another year. Hope you get into the new digs soon.

Ah, yes....that's the We No Tell Motel....a true den of iniquity, and a VERY large chain, world-wide...they're everywhere. (So I've heard.)

sorry I missed your b-day, Bucko. Was out camping in the wilds of Rhode Island. Yes, we do actually still have trees and woods. Hope the day was a good one for you!!!

Well despite the fact that daughter had to walk around for three weeks with her belly bouncing off her feet, her third child, and our seventh grandchild held off until the actual due date. Kelly Anne entered the world at 11:48 PM on July 17th, and weighed in at 7 lbs 13 oz, 19 1/2". Mother and child both doing well, so we came home.

Congrats IK. Love them GCs' and GGCs'. If they get too overbearing, CB packs them in her truck and we take'em home. WW

Our deepest congratulations to you and Bev, IK. Aren't they wonderful? Our daughter, son-in-law and the two grandsons (7 yrs. and 10 mos.) are coming to spend a week with us end of next week. Can't wait to spoil the little ones for a week and send them back home to California.
