I have been enjoying wine (in a serious way) for about 1 1/2 years. If I'm lucky, I might find one bottle out of ten tries that impress me enough to buy several bottles for storage and future drink. The last two wines that reallly impressed me were Wente 1998 Cab Reserve and Brand's Coonawarra Cab 1998. Both these wines were big flavour but soft on the palate. They both also were in the $27-$30 Canadian. I would appreciate some recommendations of like wine.

Mar, we're all in the same boat as you. Lately three wines have hit the mark with me. 1.'99 Artesa, Napa. 2. '97 Gallo, Frei Ranch. 3. '01 Marquis-Phillips "Sarah's Blend) Australia.
