A 2000 Cameron- Abbey Ridge and A 2000 Edmeades- Anderson Valley

Both came recomended by my local wine guy. I'm about to pop one of these open. Just wondered if anyone had any comments on these.

I think you'll find both of these wines ready to drink now. What did you pay for these wines? BTW, the Edmeades comes from about 500 miles south of Oregon. The Anderson Valley is north of San Francisco in Mendocino County.

Sorry it took me so long to reply. I was out most of the day. I was at a showing of Ranging Bull at The Brattle Theater in Boston. What a great film. It was great to get a chance to see it on the big screen.

Anyway. I apologize.

I had gotten confused. The wine guy had shown me several different wines and I had gotten the Edmeades confused with one of the others that he was talking about.

The Cameron was about $20 and the Edmeades as $12. I did not care for the Cameron at all. He did say that it was earthier than other Pinots and not as fruity. To me it smelled and tasted like it may have gone bad but I don't know what wine tastes like when it goes bad. I stopped in the place this evening and let him know just in case it is bad and to give him a heads up in case he gets some complaints from other customers. He was really appreciative that I would do that so he told me to bring what was left by on Monday and he would give it another taste. He said even though it has been sitting around he still may be able to tell if there is something wrong.

The Edmeades was "Quaffable?" Is that the correct term for drinkable?
