I'm looking for good buys on these three types of wines. My girlfriend and myself do not like the tannic taste in the bolder reds. I've read about good wines in this catagory, but I can't seem to find the ones I would like to try. I'm looking for common, easy to find wines that taste like they are special (isn't everyone). If anyone has any suggestions on these three or red varities that are not too tannic, PLEASE fill me in. I'm looking in the price range of $10 TO $35. I would love suggestions from the members of wine.com, there seems to be alot of knowledge on wines out there. Thanks, and look forward to hearing any suggestions

For merlot look for Bogle or Blackstone Napa. For pinot look for Villa Mount Eden, BV Coastal, HRM Rex-Goliath Free Range Central Coast, and Joseph Drouhin LaForet. For Beaujolais look for Georges Duboeuf Cru Beaujolais from 2000 and 2001. Have one, a Fleurie from 2002 that is excellent, but the vintage as a whole is shakey. You should be able to find all of these just about anywhere.

South African Cabernet Sauvignon "Excelsior".
$10 or less and smooth as WW's tasting notes.
