N/V Spirit of the Adirondacks, New York, Pinot Noir ($13 or $14). Comes from Proud Country Cellars in Washington, NY; and weighs in at 12% alcohol. Picked this up on our brief sojourn to Utica earlier this month. Nice red fruit on the nose and upfront. On the palate the acid seemed to take over the complexity and tannin. It was out of balance. Not, a pour down the drain one, but not one we would get again when one can get much better ones from the same region at the same or lower price. Enjoyed the food, ham slices in cream sauce, much better.

Never heard of that one, IK. Are the grapes from Long Island or upstate?

Was the same result I got from almost all of the Finger Lakes reds. Pretty whites, insipid reds. WW
