There's an excellent article in the Washington Post this morning (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A11739-2001Dec8.html) on long-standing problems with the Red Cross' blood business. The article sheds light on that side of the organization, which receives little publicity but is five times the size of the highly-publicized charitable/social side of the ARC, at $1.5 B in business each year.
Disturbing, to say the least.
OK, now I'll hush....for a while.

You're right, I do indeed have a big one on for the execs of organizations who make it their practice to prey on the generosity of their fellow citizens.

Santa still has his sense of humor; he stops by here for breakfast tacos each morning at this time of year, on his rounds to visit all the good boys & girls in this ol' world. But I'll bet he WON'T be visiting the ARC this year!
