This was the wine of the night for our Christmas Eve dinner. Huge mouth coating feel and a finish that lasted forever. Just full of chocolate and spice. I've looked everywhere even using the pro version of wine searcher to no avail. My family and I all would buy whatever we can find, so if any of you who have connections or work in shops can find me some, I would owe you big time!! I am desperate to find more.

Google shows several vendors of the Four Vines Zin, but none listed the Syrah. You might need to bribe your local retailer (or seduce his daughter) to get him to find some for you.

Other than restaurants, the only place I see it is the winery itself for $30.

Did you see the 01. I missed that and only found the 02 on the open order form. I will have to recheck.

They have a website: www.fourvines.com. That shows they're in Paso Robles, tel 825.227.0865, fax 805.227.0863, email info@fourvines.com. Looks like they have the '01 Lock Vineyard Syrah in stock.

The site says they have it but the order form only shows the 02. Like many sites I'm guessing they just haven't updated as quickly as they updated the order form. I emailed them days ago inquiring about it and hanen't heard back. Understandably due to the holidays. I am hopefull. The wine was heavenly.

The store with the following link (Gary's wines in NJ) says it has this:

2001 Four Vines Winery Syrah Central Coast

For $12.99 (on sale from $17.99).

I don't know if "Central Coast" is a different one from what you are looking for, but if so they may get you a case of the other one since they already carry products from the same vineyard.

http://www.wineaccess.com/store/garyswine/ecommerce/product.html?product_id=10634170

If you do a search on www.wineaccess.com for four vines, they will also show you other stores that carry their wines, some of them might be more convenient to you. None of them shows the syrah though but they might be able to get it.

Should have done it before, GAD. The discount is 20% for 2 or more cases (24 or more bottles). It's 10% on one case (or 12 to 23 botles).
