2001 Domaine Mas du Bouquet, Cotes du Rhone, SCEA Manganelli ($9.99 Belfast Coop). Yet another wine distributed by Easterly Wines here in Belfast, and imported by Ideal Wine & Spirits Co. Inc, Medford, MA. KC, you need to look into those folks. This was a truly fantastic CDR. Decanted as usual, the aromas filled the room for the first time in a long time. Strong flavors of plums, berries, and figs on the nose and upront. Lots of spice, dirt, and complexity across the palate, and a really lovely finish. Could be a very hard one to find, but if you can grab it. Matched with lamb leg sirloins marinated in mint/lemon/OO mayonnaise, and salad vinaigrette. All very, very nice. Going back for more tomorrow.

I think we may have a few cases in stock. I may just pick one up when I go in to work tomorrow afternoon - if the weather allows.

Did you find it KC? We had another tonight with ham loaf, salad, and rolls. It was excellent again and an excellent match.

We have it, but I totally forgot to bring some home. Now duly noted.

Had an another bottle tonight with lamb steak in mint marinade. It was perfect. Hope we can find another to bring to Glenora. The lamb steak was an inch thick and sat in the marinade all afternoon before being grillpanned. The mint was particularly nice, and the zest from the lemon paricularly pungent.
