I'm so good at this, aren't I? Maybe one of you would recognize the name of the maker... I went to the fancy restaurant inside the NJPAC on Friday night before hearing a symphony concert. The woman I was with would only drink white wine, so I chose this to go with appetizers. She had a smoked salmon dish and I had goat cheese with caramelized apples and some kind of garlic toast things..it was really light and crisp and refreshing. unfortunately it didn't go at all with my main course of medallions of beef, but I managed to drink my half a bottle anyway. $28 for the bottle. I'd have rather ordered by the glass so I could have a red with the beef, but since I was her guest for the concert, I went along with her idea of splitting a bottle. All in all it was a lovely evening.

Sancerre with goat cheese is a classic match, Georgie. With beef medallions, no, as you realized.
