Hi Eddie, and welcome to the Wine Board. My favorite wine with steak is cabernet sauvignon. Be sure to ask your retailer for an approachable one. If his or her eyes glaze over when you ask that, select a current release (one currently on the shelf) from Australia that runs $10-$20 and you should be fine.
