Not as accessable early on like the Grenache posted on earlier but was fun to watch this lil' hummer develop in the glass. Med brite ruby. Reticent nose at first but after 45 m ins the earthy, red berry, spicy nose came on. Slightly astringent entry that softened markedly after an hou and a half, solid center and anoter 3&3/4 lapper finish. Notes of vanilla and some chocolate. Last glass would have easily been mistaken for an Oregon Pinot in a blind tasting. Needs another 3-6. Again, another new varietal for me but thoroughly enjoyable. Another box goes on order Monday. 90/92. 18 on the club. 12.5% alc. WW
