2005 Perrin & fils Gigondas La Gille

Dark ruby color, sweet fruity nose... burst of fruit on the palate, excellent lingering finish, a very nice wine. With pecan-smoked brisket from Hinze's BBQ in Columbus, Tx, consumed at the ranch. The wine had been out of the cellar for 24 hrs so was really warmed in the hot kitchen and would have been better at cellar temp; even so, a nice jug 'o juice. 14.5% alc/vol and about $18 at Costco.
