you're correct. tampa bay definitely is not "the South."

as for those rosenblum's, i agree completely. my brief notes on them from my 4/27 column:

'03 Rosenblum Suaret Vineyard Zinfandel ($23): This top zinfandel producer has never disappointed me. This bottling delivers very good aromas of cola and berries, with the acidity and a bit of fine tannin to back it up.

'02 Rosenblum Rockpile Road Zinfandel ($31): My first note on this gem reads "Remarkable." This wine is loaded with aromas and flavors of deep zinberry fruit and bacon. It has great intensity and I almost want to call it jammy, but there is structure in support of the tons of fruit. If you like zins, treat yourself to this one.
