Welcome to the board, 3H. The Lunch Bags at $55 is probably nominal... bought some at Costco in Nov '02 for $36. Suspect the Pichon price is also nominal, although it didn't show up on my benchmark search with Spec's Website (Houston). My problem is, I can't get a good fix on an immature wine, so I can't predict from a poor showing now what it will be like in say 2009. At least, that's the case with the '99 LB; I tried one bottle and thought the tannins would strip the bark off a tree.... yet I'm confident it will be a winner with a few more years in the cellar. You pays your money and takes your choice, as they say. But I do feel now is the time of year to gamble on Sam's Club wines; later when the summer heat is upon us, I wouldn't consider paying those prices for their offerings, due to the likelihood of heat damage in shipment or storage.
