Hi, I am new here to wines.com

I just bought some local wine at my supermarket. Its a strawberry fruit wine.

My question is, do I chill it,or not. and where can I look to find out which wines to chill or not.

Oh yeah, for those of you who are curious, the wine name is "Amatos strawberry wine" made in Independence,Louisiana.

Welcome to the board.
Probably best at slightly below room temperature--a brief time in refrigerator just prior to opening. Some on the wine board get indignant over "wine" (from grapes) and "fermented fruit beverages" (not from grapes). I have a slightly different take as I have enjoyed strawberry "wine" in Germany and plum "wine" in Chinese restaurants.

In my case, when someone confuses fermented fruits other than grapes with wine I do not become indignant, but it does bother me. There is a decidedly technical and historical reason behind the fact that only grapes can be converted into wine. The grape is quite a special fruit.

I forgot to answer the other part of your question--what wines to chill and the contrary. Innkeeper has answered the question several times in past threads about the proper temperature for most white and red wines. Check the For the Novice thread back a year or more. Also, a basic book on wines such as "Wine for Dummies" would be helpful.
