Innkeeper I just wanted to thank you for suggesting the Beaujolais. It made for a wonderful relaxing weekend. Could you suggest a wine that is similar to it that is available year round? Thank you so much.

Just had a bottle last night last night at Blackie's in DC. Was a nice light bottle. Good stuff for the ladies who are afraid of dry wines as well. My sweetheart, who prefers white, was quite pleased.

See if you can step up to a 2001 Beaujolais Villages.

And then from there it is not a huge step to a Beaujolais Cru (these are named by Cru and don't have Beaujolais on the label) such as Moulin-a-Vent or Fleurie or Julienas, etc. Fleurie, like it's name suggests, is flowery in fragrance and usually not very tannic. Look for '98, '99 or 2000 vintage.
