The most disapointing Old Vine Red in many, many lots. Thin and muted, somewhat flabby, I recorked and finished a 1/2 bottle of another wine I opened the day before. I might have to purchase another to try as I'm hard pressed to believe what I tasted. 13.5% Alc/vol $11.

Usually very solid albeit a bit tart. Let us know what happens on the follow up Drew.

Put me in the surprised column too there bubba. Must be the 03 juice that I've found many otherwise reliable producers putting plonk on the market. WW

We finished our last bottle of the Lot 38 the other night and have some of the 39 in the cellar we'll start on this fall. Disappointing to hear about the 40, though. This is a reliable cellar staple for us, so I'd hate to have to pass until the 41 arrives down here.

Popped another last night and voila...very nice. This one showed deep berry, cherry and zinberry flavors with a very pronounced tar element that, for me, was very enjoyable. Sooo everything I said above, in the character of Rosann Rosanna Danna............."NEVER MIND!"

Never heard of a "ready to drink" going through a dumb period, but it sure sounds like it. Then again, it was probably good ole bottle variation.

More likely it was shipping shake-up. WW

Thinking back it tasted like it was oxidized. I'm thinking bad cork now.
