BIG, BAD, BOY! Lots of extracted fruit with a note of civility that belies the 15.8% alc. Deep ruby. Nose of black and red fruit, spicy, cocoa note, and a touch of vanilla. Solid entry, weighty center, and a 4-lapper finish. Had this with Rod at the winery and got some of BigRedWines case on arrival here. Will order more. 90/91 WW 22 by the box. WW

Swan is one of the few Zins in my cellar, but the alcohol is OOT on this one.

Amazingly, the alc wasn't a problem. Guess fruit'll overcomae lots of faults. WW
