Mancini Ranch, Russian River

Smoke and dark fruits on the nose. The same dark fruits on the palate along with some earthy tones. This wine is pretty outstanding. Solid, solid fruit; Great tingly acidity on the mid-palate. And a lengthy finish. This wine will age gracefully for the next 10 or more years.

That is pretty odd Newsguy. I hadn't noticed.

The bottle cost $19. Have no idea whether this was a good price or not. But judging by the store in which I purchased it, I doubt it.

Dan, from my (limited) experience with this producer, you should enjoy yourself.

Braps I've been pimping for this outstanding producer since Hector was a Pup. The price is really good. Rod makes some of the most outstanding P/Q juice to come out of the RRV. The Trenton P.N. has few peers in the country. WW

i had forgotten about this thread, but found this bottling last weekend and bought one on WW's consistent positive posts on swan's zins.

$19.99. elegant is surely the word for this one. beautiful clear ruby with only slight lightening at the rim. very good nose of berries and red fruits, with hints of tea and spices. excellent flavors of the same, plus blueberry and black pepper. great concentration and a wondeful silky mouthfeel. 14.4% percent alcohol totally concealed. medium finish that grew with some air time. (i didn't decant.) good acidity and the tannins seemed resolved, i wouldn't say this particular bottle would have 10 years left, though. i'd drink up over the next 3-5. 90 points, solid.
