1999 Casa Lapostolle Cuvee Alexander Cabernet Sauvignon

Met at friends house last night, 5 couples, to enjoy wine and Italian ante-pasta, cheeses, pizza, deserts. There were many wines, only one italian which was one of three that I brought and have posted on prior on this board. This Casa Lapostolle is one that stood out.


Intense black ruby color. Muted nose of dark fruits and blackberry. Like flavors combined with sweet notes of chocolate and coffee. Rich and concentrated, the wine is dense with massive tannins. This wine has great aging potential, imho, and should be a killer some day. 13.5%Alc/vol. $18
