Wow, what a huge wine. May be too jammy for some tastes, but was fine by me. Boardering on sweet and bursting with fruit. Long, long finish. I felt kind of happy in the head when it was finished and then looked for the alcohol content. 15.8%. She is a big one! I bought three bottles at a tasting in RI and may need to get more.

If you really liked it, don't wait to get more; there isn't a lot of that stuff around.

Thanks for the tip foodie. I didn't realize that it was in short supply. I will also be on the lookout for the cab that ww recommended.

Just picked up the Petit and as foodie predicted, the Zin was out. I was assured another case or two was on it's way with a few put aside for me. I look forward to it's arrival. Next the cab. Hey WW, is the 99 cab ready or should I put it back?

Hi GAD and hope you had a marvelous holiday. The Elyse cabs drink well on release as they are beautifully balanced. Howm-so, give them at least 5 and preferably 10 from vintage and yopu'll get the whole package, Nose, Finish, and fully integrated fruit. Again one of my favorite wines. WW

Just found a supply of the 99 Zin at my favorite store. Opened one tonight. Has the same of all the qualities the 00, but in moderation. If the 00 is too big for you, but you like the base flavors, try the 99.

Just opened another with three left in the cellar. Just great stuff. The 00 was my first vintage to buy and is still the best having tried 01 and 02. I love how when Zin gets older it starts to get rasin and plum. If anyone knows where I can get more, let me know. Somewhere on some shelf sits the gem you prize...
