Welcome to the board. We hope to hear from you with further questions as you explore the world of wine.

Look for a German Riesling Spatlese. This may be found in the $12-$16 range although they can go considerably higher in price (a white wine). Columbia Winery Cellarmasters Riesling is another possibility. It can be found in some areas for as little as $8.00 and has some sweetness that might appeal to you. It's a wine you would probably find in the grocery store if your grocery store has a wine section. Arrowood makes a nice late harvest Riesling in the United States but it will be more expensive than other options. If you can find a Lambrusco (Italian) this is a light red sparkling wine, on the sweeter side. Reuniti is the largest exporter of Lambrusco but there are other producers than have a higher quality product.
Some Vouvray from France is on the sweet side (another white wine). You could try one from Barton & Guestier or Louis Jadot and see if you like it. Vouvray is from the Chenin Blanc grape.
