Clos du Bois Merlot (vintage not listed)

Had a glass of this with a serving of beef lasagne at the Memphis Airport. Rather nondescript wine but less offensive that the house wines might have been. I like some of Clos du Bois Cabernets so decided to take a chance on the Merlot.

WOW: it's a shame this wine has gone downhill in terms of quality. i've heard that from a few folks lately. at least up through the '99 vintage, i thought clos du bois' sonoma county merlot was easy to find, fairly priced, ready to drink on release and pretty good. obviously, things have changed.
