9/21. Had this monster last nite. Another huge, sappy, teeth-staining merlot. Almost opaque, very restrained nose. First sip was like mud, you know yopu`re drinking something but not sure you like it. I decanted it, and let it stand an hour. The wine in my glass reluctantly started showing some dense black fruit, underscored by spicy,vanillan-laced nuances. This `aint your Fathers " Tr-La-La Merlot." My guess is another 3 to 5 before I crack another bottle. winoweenie
