What is the difference in Ruby Port & Tawny Port wine? Can I use either one in a recipe that specifically says to use sweet vermouth or ruby port wine???

Hi Rbvallarta and welcome to the Wine Board. If that's what the recipe says, I would go with a Ruby Port if possible. The difference is the Tawny has been aged in oak. If the wood would be a problem, stick with Ruby. Having said that I use Tawny for cooking all the time.
