My local Whole Foods had it on sale, and now it's 20% off the sales price -- I picked it up for $46 today. Have not yet tried it, though, which is my first rule for buying multiple bottles, especially with something at that price point, but now I'm wondering if I should have broken that rule and snagged a few more at that price. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance!

Back on early today as I'm trying to get some advice on my security system and noticed I'd missed this post Dan. I'm not much help as I'm still on the 92 and 94s and haven't purchased any new vintages since the 97. I know the price has to be right as IMHO this is one of the 5 best bottlings I've had from Australia. I paid 40 for the 92 and 44 for the 94 and 55 for the 97 if that helps any. WW (Thanks for reminding me. I just opened a bottle of the 1992 and will report at me usual time this pm)

Thanks, WW, and will look forward to your notes. On a partially-related note, any thoughts on Crocker & Starr? I picked up a bottle of their '02 Stone Place Napa Cab (we tasted it first in the store, even though it's just a baby).

'02 Bin 707 is an absolute belter. '02 was a cool year in South Australia - the coolest on record but that didn;t mean the wines were mean and gren. Quite the opposite - the cooler summer wetaher meant the vines kept photosynthesising right through the day with no stress-collapse. Result - the most deeply coloured, aromatic, densely textured wines since the '98 vintage. Its a mulit-regional blend and if you want that info and maturation data I can get that too.
At US$46 its a bargain - this wine sells back in Aus for the equivalent of US$90+. It will keep in your cellar for at least two decades....
