I've been unable to find any wines from these villages in the US. Are they only available there - or does someone know of a source?

Hi Ryan, and welcome to the Wine Board. Recommend to contact Roberto at WlNEEXPO@aol.com If he can't find any they can't be had in the good ole USA.

The problem with the whites from Cinque Terre is that, when you subtract the beautiful scenery and the amazing food, they taste like water and still cost $25 a bottle because the cultivation is so labor intensive. Few people ever buy a second bottle and thus few retailers stock them.

You can get a similar flavor / texture package from Sardegna Vermentino for half the price.
