- ryanpederson - 10-04-2005 I've been unable to find any wines from these villages in the US. Are they only available there - or does someone know of a source? - Innkeeper - 10-07-2005 Hi Ryan, and welcome to the Wine Board. Recommend to contact Roberto at WlNEEXPO@aol.com If he can't find any they can't be had in the good ole USA. - Botafogo - 10-07-2005 The problem with the whites from Cinque Terre is that, when you subtract the beautiful scenery and the amazing food, they taste like water and still cost $25 a bottle because the cultivation is so labor intensive. Few people ever buy a second bottle and thus few retailers stock them. You can get a similar flavor / texture package from Sardegna Vermentino for half the price. Roberto WINE EXPO - Thomas - 10-08-2005 Somehow, I knew that was coming! |
