What to drink with Kibeh?

I'm going to my girlfriend's parents' house for Xmas. Their traditional Xmas meal is Kibeh Nahee. It is a Lebanese meal which is basically raw ground beef. I know I can choose many red wines to go with cooked ground beef, but I was wondering if anyone knew of any wine especially good with Kibeh. Thanks for your help.

Hi there Alec #$&%@!, and welcome to the board.I think a young Pinot with lots of fruit would do the trick. I`ve had La Crema, Sanford,and several of the nice central coast `s with steak tartare ( Our version has almost as many spices a Kibbeh.) Makes a nice marriage. winoweenie

Ksara Lebanese red wine. Or you can seek Chateau Musar, also Lebanese; the former is inexpensive; the latter will set you back a twenty or so.
