The main difference is that the fruit flavored stuff is not wine. Wine is produced from grapes. There are a few past threads on this subject.

hey there winers' I bought my first bottle of beaujolais. but it's not the nouveau is there a difference? there were so many different kinds it was hard to know which one to buy. so my husband says just pick one and we'll go from there. so we'll see what happens stay tuned!
