I bought this today on a whim. It has a long statement in Italian on the label that I'm hoping one of you out there (foodie? Roberto?) might be able to translate for me. Here's what it says: "I filari di una vigna folta sono schiertiverdi o rossicci o gialli-come le onde di un mare, e contengono a gorghi la ricchezza di un mare. Frescura, stupore, tesori celati." As near as I can figure it says something like "If Georgie drinks this while riding a horse she'll become stupified." Am I close?

Dear Georgie. Firdt let me confess all of the Italian I've learned was from the labels on Mama Rosas canned maranara sauce but I think the literal translation is something like,,," I find one vial of this foul potion causes schitzophrenia in rats and reults in giggling likr a mare in spring, or with cognoizant use you will riccochet off'n the mare like the contemporary woman Georgie does after 4 glasses of port before falling into a stupor." Well, here's what we got after running that phrase through the accurate-as-hell Babelfish Translator...

Yeah Roberto that is it. I think Skeeter comes close to a literal translation.

The sentiment seems to be that the vines are fresh and earthly and so is the Barbera.

anyway it is "poetic" italian...
