2003 Poggio Belvedere (Arnaldo Caprai Sangioves, Umbria)

Another winner from Caprai. Nose of bruised flowers and a touch of oiliness, ripe fruit on the palate, very nicely integrated, no heat at all from the 13% alc/vol, moderate finish. With her concoction of baked chicken breasts in garlic, green beens, onion, about 1/2 cup of Tommasi PG, Lord knows what else. $17 per and a bargain at that.
