OK< OK<OK<OK<OK Already Boto, I surrender! Opened this lil' beauty last nite and must concede under any standards this is a GREAT bottle.Brite ruby, clear as a 10 Karet stone, the nose intrigued with exotic spices, a red cherry, vanilla, and all come across on the palate. Super entry with a boistrous mid-palate, and a 4-lapper finish. A very fine bottle. Tanks, Roberto. WW

I, too, am enjoying the Valtellinas. What sort of $$ are those Riservas going to fetch?

I assume that will appear on the hotlist. If not, can you mail me at dfoote@steamboat-springs.net?

BTW, since becoming pregnant my wife has lost all interest in red wine, is lukewarm on whites, and wants to drink nothing but Champagne. I need more half bottles!

Sorry to say this, but she should stay away from all alcohol while pregnant.

...until the first three months pass; after that, she can resume a glass or two a day.

She's not pregnant anymore. While she was pregnant she abstained, both on principle and because she lost all taste for alcohol in all its forms. The baby is here now and she still has no interest in red wine.

This is a problem because it means I drink red wine a bottle at a time. I open them with the best of intentions of not drinking the whole thing, but you know how that goes.

Yeah, but what's the "problem?" Sounds like a great situation to me...

Well, the "problem" is a mountain bike race in October. The red wine monkey on my back is interfering with the necessary return to a modicum of fitness.

Roberto, I've already grabbed some of those halves. I am interested in splits, too. I'll call next week.

My bad: I was referring to 375s when I said "splits". We don't carry any 187s of anything from Champagne but do have some Prosecco and a dry Saumur brut.....
