I just purchased a Magnum of 2002 Yellow tail Australian Cab at our local AJ's Fine Foods. Opened it and am enjoying it, but was wondering how long will it keep? MS

Sorry I just realized that this should have gone under the Cab Forum. MS

Magnums generally store better than .750's but due to the larger bottle, more area exposure to air, deteriorate faster. My magnum purchases are for longer term aging and partying with friends. You can slow the oxidation process a little by pouring into smaller bottles, .375's, up to the top and resealing or invite a few friends over . I would think the yellowtail would already be showing signs of deterioration.
