$24.00 ($17.00 per bottle at the winery) 13.9% alcohol
Found that a Raleigh shop, not my regular, carries this wine so I bought three bottles.
Dark purple, nearly opaque color. Over chilled at first. I needed to let it warm up to give up aroma. Dark cherry nose. Flavors of cherry and raspberry with aspects of fruit tea (may be picking up slight tannins from wood barrels). Overall, I still really like this wine and will seek it out in the future.

Have you tried the Torii Mor Cote Fleur de Rouge? After trying the 2001 Oregon Pinot but not crazy about the $25 price tag I bought a bottle of the less expensive Cote Fleur de Rouge for $13 (and another bottle of the Oregon... man that was good). Have yet to try the Rouge though.

Haven't see the Cote Fleur de Rouge (is it a rose' wine made from the Pinot Noir grape or a blended wine?)

Actually, its them combining their surplus Pinot grapes from their differant locations and making wine from that. The Oregon wine is made to a targeted flavor in planned proportions. The Rouge is not. It is a red, not a a blush.

We finally got around to opening this over the weekend. I got a virtually identical nose and flavor profile to Wonders, though it was too warm when we opened it, contributing to a bit of heat on the finish. It was better chilled a bit. Thank goodness for the little 30-bottle cellar we have upstairs, as our big unit downstairs is dying (which is why it was opened too warm in the first place). Decent QPR -- we paid $15 locally.

That's a great price for the Torii Mor.
